Can You Rent A Boat On Lake Placid?

Yes, you can rent a boat on Lake Placid with Boat Lake Placid. Our Bennington pontoon boats are already in the water and ready for your reserved rental time, so you do not need to tow, launch, or figure out complicated lake access.

Lake Placid is best experienced from the water. Many of the lake’s mountain views, historic shoreline, swimming coves, and scenic areas are only visible by boat, making a rental one of the easiest ways to enjoy the lake.

Choosing The Right Rental Time

Boat Lake Placid offers flexible boat rental times so you can choose the outing that works best for your day.

2-Hour Boat Rentals

A 2-hour boat rental is a great option if you want a shorter lake outing, a scenic cruise, or an easy way to get on the water without committing to a full afternoon. It is ideal for visitors with a packed Lake Placid itinerary.

3 Hour Boat Rentals

A 3-hour boat rental on Lake Placid gives you extra time to cruise, swim, and explore without committing to a full half-day. It is a flexible option for guests who want more time on the water while still keeping the rest of the day open.

Half-Day Boat Rentals

A half-day boat rental gives you more time to explore Lake Placid, find swimming coves, enjoy mountain views, and relax on the water. Half-day rentals are a popular choice for families, friends, and visiting groups.

To keep our schedule running smoothly, half-day rentals are not available to start at 11:30 AM, 12:00 PM, or 12:30 PM. Please select a start time of 11:00 AM or earlier, or 1:00 PM or later.

Full-Day Boat Rentals

A full-day boat rental is best for guests who want the most time on Lake Placid. Spend the day cruising, swimming, sightseeing, and enjoying the lake at your own pace.

What You Can See By Boat

Lake Placid is known for Adirondack mountain views, peaceful bays, historic shoreline, and wildlife spotting. From the water, you can enjoy a completely different view of the lake than you get from town or the road.

A boat rental gives you the freedom to explore Lake Placid at your own pace, from quiet morning cruises to relaxed afternoons with family and friends. Our team will help point you in the right direction before you leave the dock.

What To Bring On Your Boat Rental

For a comfortable day on Lake Placid, we recommend bringing:

Towels, sunglasses, hats, layers, snacks, drinks, and non-aerosol sunscreen. You are welcome to bring food and beverages on board, but we ask that guests avoid anything that stains, spills easily, creates excessive mess, or can blow around while underway.

Please remove all trash and personal items at the end of your rental so the boat is ready for the next guest.

Dogs On Board

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on Boat Lake Placid rentals. We allow 1 to 2 dogs per rental with a $35 total pet fee. Dogs are not permitted on the seats, and renters are responsible for any pet-related damage, excessive cleaning, or mess.

Boating Rules And Safety

Every Lake Placid boat rental includes a safety, operation, and navigation briefing before leaving the dock. Our team will review the boat, lake map, no-wake zones, and important safety guidelines so you feel comfortable before heading out on the water.

Lake Placid has designated no-wake areas, and boaters should always use extra caution around shorelines, other boats, swimmers, paddlers, and anyone participating in watersports.
